Sam Jaxson

​Music was ever-present in Sam's childhood home. His mom (a self-taught pianist) and dad (a music enthusiast) filled the house with everything from folk and rock to jazz and classical, while his two older brothers made sure he was well-versed in punk, hip hop, and electronic music. Inspired but determined to forge his own path, Sam taught himself the craft of music-making. As a teenager in Salt Lake City, he began creating beats on an MPC-500, spending hours in local record shops hunting for the perfect samples to fuel his creative vision and performing at local venues.
 

This self-directed musical journey continued through college, where he balanced his passion for music with studying computer science. After graduation, Sam applied his technical expertise as a software developer for several years, all while quietly honing his production skills. When the COVID-19 pandemic upended the Los Angeles music scene and forced his friend and sole engineer to leave the city, Sam's artistic trajectory took a decisive turn. Rather than putting his music on hold, he immersed himself in the technical side of music production and recording.
 

This period of necessity-driven innovation led to the release of his debut EP "Blessings To The Future Self" in June 2022. Sam further refined his craft at the Los Angeles Academy for Artists and Music Production (LAAMP), where he collaborated with fellow rising talents under the guidance of legendary production duo Stargate, building an impressive catalog of new work before graduating in 2024.
 

At heart, Sam thrives on the electric connection of live performance. His energetic shows have become highlights at venues across Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, including The Bourbon Room, Hotel Ziggy, Hotel Café, The Mint, Break Room 86, and The Kibitz Room. With multiple projects and singles lined up for release in the coming months, Sam Jaxson is ready to take his distinctive musical vision to new heights.
