Sam Jaxson music
Music filled Sam's childhood home, from his mom's self-taught piano playing to his brothers' punk and hip hop influences. As a teenager in Salt Lake City, he taught himself to make beats on an MPC-500, crate-digging for samples and performing at local venues.
This passion continued through college alongside his computer science studies. After working as a software developer for several years, Sam's musical journey accelerated when the pandemic forced his engineer friend to leave LA. Embracing necessity, Sam mastered production and recording himself, releasing his debut EP "Blessings To The Future Self" in 2022. He later refined his craft at LAAMP, collaborating with rising talents under the production duo Stargate's guidance before graduating in 2024.
At heart, Sam thrives on the electric connection of live performance. He's energized audiences at venues throughout Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, including The Bourbon Room, Hotel Ziggy, Hotel Café, The Mint, Break Room 86, and The Kibitz Room. With multiple projects lined up for release, he's ready to take his distinctive musical vision to new heights.
